A collaborative musique-concrete recording comprised of randomly sequenced micro-compositions by deepwhitesound artists. This limited edition cassette serves as a physical document of work created for Stream Room, a multi-channel sound installation.

Random Access Tape seeks to explore the contrasts, flaws and benefits of digital vs analog distribution of sound art and experimental music. All work on this recording was submitted via the internet between January and July of 2014 and committed to tape in August of 2014 ahead of the debut exhibition of Stream Room at FalseFront in Portland, OR. The cassette is produced and distributed under the Creative Commons license. The cassette may be reproduced in its entirety and redistributed with certain stipulations. Dana Paresa (Visuals & Design)is an artist, graphic designer and illustrator living in Portland Oregon. Her illustrations have been published by Willamette Week, Portland Mercury, Bitch Magazine, Kill Screen Magazine, Honolulu Magazine, Flux Magazine and many more. Her visual art has been exhibited at Interisland Terminal, Gallery 'Iolani, ii Gallery and Creative Research Co-operative Cube Space in Honolulu, HI. She graduated from University of Hawai'i with a Bachelor's in Studio Art and Art History in 2011.

Tomas Tello (Production & Assembly) is an electro-acoustic sound artist, organizer, performer and one half of the cassette label Andesground. He has studied various disciplines under a variety of mentors, from composition and harmony with Jorge Madueno, guitar with Andres Prado, the oud with Gani Mirzo at the "Taller de Musica" in Barcelona, the Alexander Technique with Jessica Nardelli and guitar with Fernando Kabusacki in Bueno Aires. His practice includes the exploration of multiplicity in performance by utilizing many DIY analog devices such as hand-built electronics, cassette decks , AM radios, remote controls, cameras, guitars, samplers, voice, flutes , bells and others. He currently resides in Luxembourg.

DB Amorin (Project Director, Founder of DWS) is an artist, arts organizer and founder of deepwhitesound. He works at ProjectGrow, an art studio representing and serving adults with developmental disabilities and curates the adjoining Port City Gallery, an artspace focused on programming which showcases and integrates work of contemporary artists into the ProjectGrow program. He currently serves as Communications Director on the board of The Creative Music Guild, a non-profit organization facilitating experimental and improvisational performance in Portland OR. DB Amorin is an exhibiting visual artist working in video, sound and web-based art, as well as a recording artist under the moniker uvovu.
